Overview

AEM DAM Downloader is a browser extension that helps users download digital assets from Adobe Experience Manager (AEM Assets) Classic UI (DAM Admin).

Data collection

The extension does not collect, sell, or transfer personal data to the developer or third parties.

When you click Download, the extension reads asset information from the active DAM Admin page in your browser and downloads files using your existing AEM session. This processing happens locally in your browser.

Local storage

The extension stores your preferences locally using Chrome storage, including: selected file types, download mode, language preference, and folder options. This data stays on your device.

Permissions

• activeTab — access the current DAM Admin tab when you use the extension
• downloads — save files to your computer
• scripting — inject the content script when needed for downloads
• storage — save your settings locally
• Host access — required because AEM is hosted on many customer domains; used only on /damadmin pages when you start a download

Remote code

The extension does not execute remote code. All extension code is included in the package.
